Four stages of Financial freedom and building wealth

The Four Stages

There are four stages to financial freedom and building  wealth. Depending on where you look, you can find as many as 15 stages. Most of those have so many overlapping groups in their you begin to lose track of which category someone may fall into. We’ve simplified it down to four main stages.

Stage 1 - Financially Unaware

These are the people that follow along and do everything the bank tells them to do. Make their payments using an auto-pay system, never paying more or early. The bank keeps all their interest. Most people are in this group in their early years.

Stage 2 - Financially Educated

At this stage they realize they no longer want to pay all the interest to the banks. They’re now looking for a plan to eliminate as much as possible so they can keep the money in their own pockets. They have a total awareness of how much interest is costing them.

Stage 3 - Financial Freedom

When the person no longer has a mortgage payment, car payment, or credit card debt they’re finally financially free. They’ve followed their plan from stage 2 and are now setting up their next plan for stage 4, building their wealth.

Stage 4 - Building Wealth

This is the stage where they focus on investments and opportunities. They’re transitioning to the point of putting their money to work for them. Everything they do from this point and further helps to build their legacy.
